چکیده
Abstract The Hammerfest Basin is an east–west-trending graben located between the Loppa High and Finnmark Platform in southern part of Norwegian Barents Sea. Mainly siliciclastic strata Carboniferous–Cenozoic age cover Caledonian basement have a total estimated thickness 5–8 km. basin evolved through several tectonic phases: Carboniferous rifting, Late Jurassic opening Atlantic Ocean, Oligocene reorganization plate movements post-glacial isostatic rebound. An dome centre developed during main extensional event Jurassic. Horst structures represent hydrocarbon traps. Erosional channels on flanks entry points for Lower Cretaceous sands. For rest Cenozoic intervals, no significant reservoir sands are expected. first exploration well Sea 1980 was by 2019 45 wells had been drilled basin, with 34 classified as wells. result 18 oil gas discoveries, which gives discovery rate 53%. Two fields now production: Snøhvit gas-condensate Goliat oilfield. A 340 Msm 3 (2140 Mbbl) recoverable equivalents discovered. middle play, yet-to-find potential may be around 50 , distributed small basin. Following Middle Triassic interval structure, because previously only penetrated uppermost section, considerable exist deeper best facies. Stratigraphic traps moderate petroleum potential, excellent reservoirs encountered along flank Exploration also Upper Permian sandstones eastern However, large parts remaining deep and, hence, prone.

Barents Sea multidecadal variability
[1] We present area-averaged time series of temperature for the 100–150 m depth layer of the Barents Sea from 1900 through 2006. This record is dominated by multidecadal variability on the order of 4 C which is correlated with the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation Index. Citation: Levitus, S., G. Matishov, D. Seidov, and I. Fisheries in the North Atlantic, southeast Atlantic, and eastern central Atlantic reached their maximum production levels one or two decades ago and are now showing a declining trend in total catches (1). The declining catches are consistent with observations that these areas have the highest incidence of overexploited stocks, depleted stocks or slowly recovering stocks that have been depleted ...
متن کاملHelium flux from a sedimentary basin.
The tritium-3He ages of groundwaters collected from the Saijo Basin in Japan were measured. The ages vary between 11.7 and 16.3 years. The 4He flux of >3 x 10(4) atoms/cm2 s is calculated by the 4He concentrations and ages. In addition the helium flux of 8.3 x 10(5) atoms/cm2 s is calculated at the Higashi-Niigata gas field in Japan. The above two estimates are consistent with the continental h...
